About The Author

Elizabeth Allen has been a public school teacher for more than 30 years offering her share of advice, insight, and guidance to her friends and colleagues.

With numerous psychology courses under her belt and countless student interventions also to her credit, she has been more than happy to use those counseling skills to improve the lives of others.

Over the years, she has worked with a wide variety of women who have also enriched her life with their truly unique relationship stories. We have all shared our triumphs and tribulations, joys and sorrows, smiles and tears as we muddled through separation, broken engagements, and divorce. The teachers’ lounge is a great source of all kinds of information and so are the coffee shop, the restaurant, the pub, the beach, just to name a few locations that provided the perfect venue for the venting of stories.

Her own experience has also given us an insight into why the “Mr. Wonderful’s” of the world continue to amaze us all. 

We all know what it feels like to be separated, unengaged, and divorced. She knows what helped her to move on with her life. And she thinks that she knows just what might work for other women of any age group in the same life stage as her.

She has collected many stories about what her friends did to move on with their lives.

She would like to share these stories so that they can help others with their journey. To help others is really helping one’s self.  We all move on, but how we do that matters the most. If we can keep our sense of humor, nothing will ever get us down. Helping others is what women are meant to do. And offering advice is what she does best!

Her motto is that her greatest asset in life has always been her sense of humor. When she combines that with the survival wisdom that she has acquired over the years, she feels that she can offer a unique perspective to women who need a chuckle as they navigate the relationship bumps of life.
