Feisty Female Friday: Kaitlin Collins

The FFF this week is Kaitlin Collins.

Kaitlan is an American journalist, news anchor at CNN, and the former co-anchor of CNN This Morning. She has also hosted The Source, served as the network's chief White House correspondent, and resumed her role as CNN's chief White House correspondent for the second Trump presidency.

She was born in AL and attended school there majoring in journalism and political science. After graduating from college, Kaitlin moved to Washington, D.C., for an internship with The Daily Caller where she worked as an entertainment reporter, soon becoming its White House correspondent, and during the first Trump administration.
When Kaitlin asked Trump a series of questions about
Vladimir Putin and about his former attorney Michael Cohen, she was ignored and soon barred from Trump administration press conferences. She soon became the CNN White House correspondent for coverage of the 2020 election and was promoted to chief White House correspondent for the Biden administration. At 28, she was the youngest chief WH correspondent in CNN's history and one of the youngest chief correspondents for a major media network.

Kaitlin was elected to serve as President of the White House Correspondents Association, became the co-anchor a revamped CNN morning show with Don Lemon and Poppy Harlow, and was named CNN's new 9 p.m. ET host. Caitlin moderated a town-hall–style event with Trump where he called her a "nasty person" because of her pointed questioning.

She was included on Forbes's "30 Under 30: Media" list and was named one of America's 10 best TV news journalists by GALECA.

Kaitlan supports charities such as Homes For Our Troops, Muddy Paws Rescue, ALS, NPF, promotes and supports individuals with serious illnesses, advocates for humanitarian efforts in Gaza, sponsors a scholarship for emerging leaders, and encourages youth everywhere to be involved in media and their communities.

She presently lives in New York City.
