Feisty Female Friday: Eva Longoria
The FFF this week is Eva Longoria.

Eva Jacqueline Longoria Bastón is an award-winning actress, producer, director, entrepreneur, and activist. She first gained popularity for her roles on The Young and the Restless and Desperate Housewives.
Eva grew up as a Texas rancher, hunter, and farmer. She was very close to her auntie who taught her how to cook, dress, and to figure things out on her own. Eva played three sports, was drum major, and worked three different jobs as a teenager. When she won a beauty contest and traveled to LA, she remembered her auntie’s words that you should always make wherever you are into a home and she always does.
Eva started out in small television roles but her breakout role in Desperate Housewives was her first big hit. She learned a lot about directing and productions, and soon launched her own production company, other varied business ventures, and became an advocate for Latina women. Eva also earned a degree in Chicano studies and started her charity, Eva’s Heroes, to assist teens and young adults with developmental challenges. Her Eva Longoria Foundation also focuses on helping Latina parents and those setting up Latina based businesses.
She has won an Imagine, two SAG, ALMA, People’s Choice, and three Golden Globe Awards for her film and television work. Eva has earned her Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, serves as an ambassador for L’oreal Paris, NY & CO, and Pepsi. She supports many children’s charities including the Make -A-Wish Foundation, Special Olympics, immigration rights, and has published a cookbook. Eva has her own fashion and perfume brands, takes care of her health, and loves learning new things. She says that her future involves directing, filming, teaching, always living with compassion, and finding her own way in life.
She is married, has a son, and lives in Spain and Mexico.
