Feisty Female Friday: Ana Navarro

The FFF this week is Ana Navarro.

Ana Violeta Navarro-Cárdenas is a political commentator and strategist who appears on television programs, news outlets, and is the co-host of The View. She is widely known for her political work with Republican figures and her candid commentary on current events.

She was born in Nicaragua and because of the Sandinista revolution, she and her family immigrated to the US. She earned her degrees in Latin American Studies, Political Science, and has a JD. Because of her expertise on Latin American and Hispanic issues, she has served in several Republican political campaigns and is also a prominent political contributor for the news outlets CNN and CNN en Español. Ana is known for her candid and sometimes critical assessments of political figures and events.

She has also served as Ambassador to the UNHRC, was an advisor to Nicaragua, has widespread support from Democrats, and has earned the Great Immigrants and Ally Leadership Awards. Ana supports an assault weapons ban, is a supporter of the Hispanic community, immigration reform, LGBTQ+ rights, and is lifelong Republican who now almost always votes with democrats because of her “Never Trump” stance. Ana has paved the way for journalists everywhere.

She considers herself a proud American and believes that losing an election doesn’t mean that you lose your rights to express opinions and is committed to denouncing abuses and injustices everywhere. Ana is married and lives in FL.
